Why use All-Natural Deodorant?
All-Natural Deodorants are safer depending on and based on ingredients. Many people say that chemicals used in your standard store-bought deodorants are dangerous and to be honest, I've never read anything that proved it was or was not. All-Natural is a personal preference and some find it better for them as I do. Our deodorant is 100% handmade, every ingredient is non-GMO and vegan-friendly, and it has no harsh chemicals; it's 100% Aluminum Free.
From Our Experience
Over the years I've found that most antiperspirants including Tom's have made my underarms itch and burn. I love Tom's and was stunned to see it does have aluminum in it, which is why we decided to only use it as a last resort. We've debated for years on if we'd make our all-natural handmade deodorant and since we finally released it, it's been wonderful to use.
3 Reasons to Switch to All-Natural Deodorant
-
Health benefits: Many conventional deodorants contain artificial fragrances, preservatives, and other chemicals that can be irritating to the skin or potentially harmful if absorbed through the skin. All natural deodorants, on the other hand, are made with ingredients that are derived from plants and other natural sources. This means they are often gentler on the skin and do not contain potentially harmful chemicals.
-
Environmental impact: All-natural deodorants are often made with environmentally friendly ingredients and packaging, making them a more sustainable choice. Conventional deodorants may contain ingredients that are harmful to the environment and may be packaged in materials that are not easily recyclable.
-
Effectiveness: Many people find that all-natural deodorants are just as effective at keeping them smelling fresh and clean as conventional deodorants. Some people may need to try a few different brands or types of all-natural deodorant to find one that works best for them, but there are many options available on the market.
Overall, switching to all-natural deodorant can be a healthier and more environmentally friendly choice that can still provide effective odor protection.
Things to Know before using All-Natural Deodorant
-
Ingredients: All natural deodorants may contain different types of natural ingredients, such as plant extracts, essential oils, and beeswax. Some people may be allergic to or sensitive to certain ingredients, so it's important to read the label and check for any potential allergens.
-
Transition period: When switching to all-natural deodorant, it's common to experience a transition period where your body adjusts to the new product. During this time, you may experience more sweating or odor than usual. This is because all-natural deodorants may not contain the same types of antimicrobial ingredients that are found in conventional deodorants, and your body may need to adjust to this change.
-
Types of all-natural deodorants: There are several types of all-natural deodorants available, including stick deodorants, roll-on deodorants, and spray deodorants. Some people may prefer one type over another, so it may be helpful to try a few different types to find the one that works best for you.
-
Effectiveness: Some people may find that all-natural deodorants are not as effective at controlling odor as conventional deodorants. If this is the case, you may need to reapply the deodorant more frequently or try a different brand or type of all-natural deodorant.
-
Cost: All-natural deodorants may be more expensive than conventional deodorants. However, they often last longer because you don't need to use as much product each time. Overall, switching to all-natural deodorant can be a healthy and environmentally friendly choice, but it's important to consider these factors and be prepared for a possible transition period.
Proper Storage for your All-Natural Deodorant
-
Keep it cool: All-natural deodorants often contain ingredients that can melt or become less effective when exposed to high temperatures. To help your deodorant last longer, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
-
Avoid moisture: All-natural deodorants can become less effective if they get wet or come into contact with moisture. To help prevent this, store your deodorant in a dry place and avoid getting it wet when applying it.
-
Keep it closed: To prevent the deodorant from drying out or picking up any unwanted odors, be sure to close the container tightly after each use.
-
Avoid contamination: To help prevent contamination, wash your hands before applying all-natural deodorant and avoid sharing your deodorant with others.
By following these tips, you can help ensure that your all-natural deodorant stays fresh and effective for as long as possible.
