Our Soy Candles Ingredients and Information

All of our candles are hand-poured in small batches as they're ordered. We use 100% all-natural soy, we also use ECO wicks from Candle Science which is a flat cotton wick braided with thin paper threads that give the wick a rigid structure without the need for a core. We try to not use a lot of dyes in the candles as the dye in soy wax doesn't always look too pretty and it takes away from the math of longevity when it comes to fragrance.

We love our handmade Soy Candles, the fragrance last till the last drop of it. These candles come in 8oz glass jars with a resealable lid, when you first open the lid the fragrance will fill the room. If you do find one is out of stock, simply hit the button to notify you when it's available and we will make them as soon as we have the fragrances available as some are a rare find at certain times of the year.

The preservatives we use for the basic blends are phenoxyethanol and potassium sorbate. Phenoxyethanol is considered a more natural preservative compared with harsher paraben-based preservative processes. Potassium sorbate is a mild preservative and is an alternative paraben that prevents the growth of microorganisms. It's commonly used in cosmetics and the food industry. Our natural lotion blend uses leuconostoc (radish root ferment filtrate), lactobacillus, and cocus Nucifera (coconut) fruit extract. Leuconostoc is an all-natural broad-spectrum antibacterial agent that is produced from radish roots. Lactobacillus is an acidifying, anti-microbial, anti-fungal peptide-producing agent that is commonly used in cosmetics as well as in the fermentation of food products like yogurt, kimchi, and sauerkraut. Cocus Nucifera (coconut) fruit extract is a widely used humectant with moisturizing properties. It is also found to have anti-fungal, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial properties that inhibit spoiling. It is commonly used in both all-natural cosmetics and the food industry as well.  Both the natural and the conventional blends are similar in feel, color, and smell and share an expected shelf life of 12+ months from the date of manufacture when stored in cool, dry conditions.
